So, I’m a little late, but Happy New Year! I have been anticipating this year because there are several big changes coming up, and I’m so glad that now that the year has started, I can officially begin to implement these changes. What are these changes? Well, I’m glad you asked!
In the past, my blogging has been somewhat random, with no real rhyme or reason as to why or what I would be posting. That has changed now!
Every Monday and Thursday, I will be posting something a little more personal. This will include books I’m reading, how my wife and son are doing, family vacations, everything you can think of! This is a chance for you to get to know me, and see a little more into my life.
Tuesdays are set for helping the brides in the middle of planning their wedding. Should you get a coordinator? Do I need a 3 tier cake? Should I have to follow this tradition that doesn’t even match me? These are some of things I will go over to help you make the best choice possible, so that you can have the absolute best wedding experience.
Thursdays are for photography enthusiasts, professionals, and anyone interested in photography. Here, I will take some of my favorite photos, explain why I shot them the way I did, talk about managing how I shoot, and my workflow.
Finally, on the second Friday of every month, I will have a guest blog from people who are interested in helping you. This will include Goodwill Guru’s who can make a DIY wedding out of thrift store finds, photographers who want to share some of their favorite/most stressful moments, and other vendors who want to let you know that they are available.
(Subscribe to my blog to keep up with these)
I am so excited for the weddings and engagement shoots that will be happening this year! From Engagement shoots on the tops of mountains, weddings in rustic estates, and styled shoots to inspire your wedding, this will be a wonderful year for weddings.
I had mentioned that I would be including books in future posts to let you know what I am reading. Well, I guess that would be something for me to mention here as well: I am already making 2016 a year of books, books, and more books. Books on business, Christian growth, relationship growth, everything. I am a firm believer in the saying, “Where you will be in 5 years depends on two things: The books you read, and the people you meet.” I do not have a New Years Resolution, but instead, a 5 year plan. By doing thing, I believe I can achieve it, and be closer to where I want to be in life.
Finally, I am going to be more involved and active this year. With my brides, my friends, acquaintances, family, church, and my health. (Again, not a New Years resolution, a plan/goal.) I want to be more involved with the people who mean so much to me, and I want to do things that will keep me healthier, in mind, body and spirit, so that those relationships will grow in such a way as never before in my life.
I’m extremely happy for this year, and I’m curious as to what you are most excited about for 2016. Comment below!
