You know how I said at the beginning of the year I was going to write everyday? Since February, I have not kept up with that! I did not realize how taxing this would be. So, I’m taking a moment to be completely honest with you. Lately, I have not had the inspiration to write. I have even lost the inspiration for photography. The good news is, this is completely normal. Even better news, apparently this is very common for people in every aspect of their life during the winter. And, finally, the best news, is that Spring is right around the corner, and this warmer weather has really been lifting my spirits! With things coming back to life, and weather starting to feel great again, there is no excuse for me to not look for inspiration. Todays Topic: Losing inspiration, and what I am doing to get it back.
Winter is the dead season for wedding photography. People don’t often get married in the winter, bookings are very slim, and financially, it is not a fun time. With all of that, it can be very easy to lose focus. This past Saturday, I got tired of my lack of focus. Why did I even start? Because I love shooting! The colors, the people you meet, the places you end up. This is why I started. So, with nothing but fun and finding why I love shooting, I went to Nashville and walked around Bicentennial Park, finding myself and finding my inspiration.
I’m not where I need to be yet, but I know that I am closer than I was. What is it you do to regain inspiration? Let me know in the comments below!
