Wow, wow, wow! I can’t believe how beautiful Jill and Daniel’s Hermitage Golf Course Wedding was! If you don’t remember Jill and Daniel, we shot their engagement session at Charlie’s Bunion last May. Now, their wedding story has come full circle, and I get to share their wedding photos!
What can I say about these two, really? Not enough, I can start with that. When I went to Knoxville, TN to stay the night with these two at Jill’s apartment the night before the engagement, I arrived to a bed made for me, a cooked meal, and warm hearts. That’s how our initial face-to-face interactions with each other began in their wedding journey. It was their warm hearts that made their wedding so much more beautiful.
About the Venue
The Hermitage Golf Course Wedding venue is located in Old Hickory, Tennessee, about 30 minutes northwest of Nashville. Surrounding the venue are some of the most amazing golf courses in Tennessee. Aside from the panoramic view of the courses around you, there is also the rose garden and wedding pavilion. The garden is surrounded by tall trees, and even at the end of winter, the green against the trees is deep and vibrant. It makes for a wonderful area to shoot because of the aesthetics and the calming sound of the water fountain in the background. Just inside the the doors by the garden is the wedding pavilion. With it’s open atmosphere and the warmth provided by the fireplace, there is no better place to hold a ceremony. As warm as the fire is, I’m still convinced it was the warmth of Jill and Daniel’s coming together and the friends and families there to witness it.
The Hermitage Golf Course Wedding
I think the vastness of the day hit Jill when she started to state her vows to Daniel. During the first look, they exclaimed how handsome or beautiful each other looked. During the preparation, the bridesmaids and mothers were joking humorously. Even going down the aisle and being given away, you could see the two of them were so excited for the day. As the two of them stood with their hands interlocked with each other, I think that is the moment Jill saw further than the wedding day. With tears in her eyes, she began to realize that the two hands she had in hers would be the hands she holds as long as they both shall live.
During the ceremony, Jill and Daniel did something rather different. Rather than lighting a unity candle or pouring sand, they passed the rings around to their families. As each member held the rings, they would say a blessing over them or hold them tightly. The significance behind this ceremony was to bring two families together as one as they shared a prayer over the new couple, while welcoming Jill and Daniel into marriage with warmth. It was a touching moment, and brought together as one of Jill’s bridesmaids sang, “Holy Spirit.”
Finally, after Jill and Daniel kissed and were pronounced husband and wife, the celebration began! I cannot say enough how much of a blast their wedding was! Jill and Daniel, I’m so glad I was able to capture your wedding story!
Congratulations Jill and Daniel! (:
